IMAGE TO WORD was an event organized by Elizabeth Burk. The poets Darrell Bourque, Patrice Melnick, Elizabeth Burk, Genaro Kỳ Lý Smith, Sidney Creaghan and Sandra Sarr read poems inspired by photographs from Leo Touchet's exhibition, PEOPLE AMONG US which was on display at the Acadiana Center for the Arts from April 8th to June 10th, 2017. Each poet selected two photographs from the exhibition and wrote a poem inspired by each photograph.
